Mar. 1st, 2025 12:57 ami finally got to play more minecraft today! i started building a tree farm, but this seems like it'll be a long term project, so i'm trying to think of other things to do when i take a break from that.
-redecorating my current house since right now it's just a hole in a wall.
-making an area for my dogs.
-the memorial for my lost puppy i mentioned in another post.
-more cave exploring.
-start experimenting with the villager mechanics.

another minecraft update!
Jan. 31st, 2025 12:49 ami'm on day 67, which feels a bit weird! i've never lasted so long in a minecraft world before. i know 60 isn't a lot for a lot of players, but it is for me. i think for my 100th day, i will make a cake in game as cute way to celebrate.
any way, today i didn't do anything interesting. i just looked around my general area to plan out my base, and i think im going to be doing a lot of building the next few days (though i will probably pause to do some other tasks, like mining and exploring). here are the build plans.
1. manual tree farm. i plan on locating it next to a nearby village.
2. memorial for my lost dog, just to add lore to the world. i like creating my own little stories in game. i think thats part of the fun.
3. a farm. i technically already have one but it's not a proper build.
4. a fish house, for my boats and collecting fish.
5. an actual house. maybe it seems weird to leave that for last but hey, i can play how i want to.
there's other builds i want to do eventually but these are my more immediate projects!

Jan. 30th, 2025 12:43 pmI apologize for being so quiet over here! Stuff has been kind of overwhelming lately, but I feel a lot better today.
My exam went okay, I think? I haven't gotten my results yet. In the mean time I have to keep studying for my next exam, which I've been very stressed about.
I find that writing is a good way to get my thoughts in order, so I'll try to pick up journaling here again, and I've also started writing in my diary again. We'll see if that has any positive effects.
I've been seeing a lot of indieweb stuff online lately, and it has me itching to make my own site, but I have no idea how to code and it kind of intimidates me. But I think I will give it a shot soon. I think I'll mainly use it to compile recommendations for people? I'll see.
Update on my minecraft world! I got 4 dogs :) or 5, technically, because one of them got lost :( i made her sit for a pic and then I forgot to make her follow me again, so she got lost in the forest. I plan to go back to that area for some projects soooo I have hopes I will find her again eventually. But in the mean time, i plan on making some sort of grave to memorialize her.
I need to start working on some sort of proper base. I've been living inside this hole I digged on a mountain, and that's fine, but I want to get to building stuff! The problem is planning out where everything is going to be, but I plan on figuring some of that out today.
I will keep updating on this! I'm hoping to play some later, so maybe I'll post something tonight.

Jan. 10th, 2025 02:28 amalright so because one of my goals is this year is to have a minecraft world im actually proud of, i decided to make a new world and actually commit to it this time. I KNOW I SAY THIS EVERYTIME, BUT I'M SERIOUS.
but i did want to ask myself why i struggle so much to stick to my minecraft worlds and i think it's because of my perfectionism. i see other people with so much experience in the game and i start comparing myself to them. it sucks the enjoyment out of the hobby.
so i'll try to remind myself that it's okay to be bad! it's a game, i don't owe anyone anything.

Dec. 24th, 2024 02:39 ammade it to day 15. i went caveing and OUGH it was scary... there were so many mobs </3 but i got some iron that i really needed. i saw some diamonds but i didnt have my iron pickaxe ready and i had to leave. i do plan to return but theres another cave i really want to explore before getting to that one.
after i get some iron i think i'll focus on doing some building. i really need to make a proper base.

Dec. 20th, 2024 12:58 amokay so, day 2 of me trying to get into minecraft. i didnt like the seed i ended up with so... ive ended up making a new world LOL. i promise, I WILL STICK TO IT THIS TIME. and if i dont i will just give up.
anyway. i made it to day 10. and i've made quite a lot of progress that i'm very excited to talk about!
so i usually try to get a base as quick as possible, which i think has been my downfall. so i decided to instead use the first 5 or so days to gather resources and explore a bit to find a good spot. i was very lucky, didn't have to look around too much before finding a cherry blossom biome next to a snow biome, and there's this waterfall right in the middle, it looks so pretty. i took into account the resources around me too. theres a couple of really big caves so i shouldnt have to move too much to look for resources. its a good spot, im very happy with it.
i found two villages and a couple of ruined portals, so i got some stuff from that. i also managed to find a bunch of surface iron to make some iron. didnt finish the whole set, so i just completed with leather.
making a base im happy with will take some time, so before i decide to tackle that project, i've just made a little dirt hut. i've also started farming and in addition to all the food i got from the villages, my food situation is all taken care of.
i feel more comfortable with iron on, so i'm planning to go to one of the caves tomorrow. a bit nervous because i suck at fighting mobs but excited because i enjoy mining and cave exploring.
i'll let you guys know how that goes tomorrow.

Dec. 19th, 2024 02:00 ami've been meaning to get into minecraft properly for so long now, but i never play for more than a few days. i lose motivation super quickly and never get to do any of the things i want to do.
so i've decided to start a new world and actually stick to it for a good while. i've always found those "100 days in minecraft" vids to be really fun so i decided to do my own version of that. those vids are mostly about doing stuff as fast as possible and beating the game within that set time, which is not my intention. i'm going to play really slow, but i do commit to getting to those 100 days and seeing what comes of it.
in addition, i think keeping a record of what i've been up to in game might help keep me motivated.
it's been 13 days, i made a small box house that has no decoration, i'm not rushing to make everything look pretty. i plan to make a proper base later and also redesign my current one, but that is not my objective right now.
i've started doing some farming, but i haven't found any animals yet. that's going to be my next goal i suppose, i need to actually finish up this farm.
i'm in the jungle biome, one of my favorites, and i came across these two adorable pandas :(( so i've adopted them. they're mine now. and then an ocelot walked into their pen so ??? i guess i'm adopting him too. i actually find minecraft pets really fun, i think they make the world much more lived in. so i think getting these guys was a good start to the world.
