three cheers for sweet revenge
Feb. 23rd, 2024 10:33 am gave this album a listen and it was really fucking good. gerard way has such a magnificent, evocative voice, it does so much for me. the storyline of the album was very interesting and i really enjoyed reading about it as i was making my way through it. overall i don't think i disliked a single song.
i'm not sure what my favorite track is. i think i need to let it exist on my mind for a little bit before fully coming to a conclusion. however there were a few highlights. to the end, you know what they do to guys like us in prison, the ghost of you, thank you for the venom and cemetery drive are the ones that have stuck with me the most. really hard to pick a fav out of all of them.
i'm looking forward to listening to more from mcr. i've always enjoyed some of their more popular songs, but never actually fully listened to one of their albums. but the past year i decided to get more serious about the music i'm listening, and it's pretty exciting finding so many songs to enjoy.
