gave surf's up a rewatch. i hadn't seen it in like a decade, but it was one of my favorite movies as a kid. honestly, it still holds up really well! it's fun, it's charming, it's got good emotional beats, the characters are all endearing and have fun dynamics with each other, it's hilarious... yeah, i remembered it being good, but not THIS good. will definitely rewatch it at a later point again.
