leejooheonso remember that thing i said about how i wasn't enjoying music much lately and so i was going to try to listen to more albums? well. i've changed my mind. i don't think the problem is that i'm not exposed to enough new music, i think i'm listening to TOO much music. and if daft punk wasn't my current special interest then i probably would have taken a break much sooner, but because of how important they've become to me i was extremely reluctant to quit them even if it was only a temporary thing.
it's not that i dislike any of the music i listen to. i can still pick up on things about it that i think are cool, and i do get some level of enjoyment from it, but it's not the passion i used to feel. i feel bored. and i think it's because i've overexposed to it.
ironically, my daft punk special interest probably caused this. because i've been listening to them so much for like a month, and not only did it make me sick of them, it's made me sick of music as a whole. so i'm taking a two week break at minimum.
